This week has gone by so fast! Have you had a good week? I hope you enjoyed the studio your of Nina Surel earlier today. My week has all in all been really great. I wrote on Wednesday that I was a little nervous of the video workshop I was going to do in San Fran. Did you read that? If not that is ok, it is all in the past anyway…
I learned something extremely valuable this week when it comes to knowledge. I know I am smart, I am not tooting my own horn but I know many things just like you. There are also many things I do not know and that is the best part. I have a thirst for knowledge when it comes to creating, if I can learn something that will take my inspiration further I will do it. Some of you may already know if you use Photoshop, it is complex yet super duper fun at the same time. I learned Photoshop from Bri+ Ang at Blogshop back in January and have been a huge fan of these two ladies ever since. When I saw the video class come up in San Fran I was so excited but hesitant at the same time. I did not know the video setting on my Canon Mark III all too well. Angela assured me it was not going to be a problem and she was right. The Blogshop Video class ROCKED! Seriously, it was so good. I learned about things I never knew and if you have the itch I highly recommend taking one of their classes.
I took this photo of a beautiful arrangement by Jennifer Redmond of Something Blue Weddings. When I looked at this through the lens I noticed the background but all I could see were the blooms. Kind of ironic, don’t you think? To me, this is a reflection of how there is always going to be “some thing” that is behind me that can look like it may get in the way. The stuff that is not in full focus is not really worth putting energy to, just like my little fear. I accept it, move on, and get back to what I am doing….in this case it was learning.
